How to empty your browser cache — Mozilla Firefox for Macintosh

To empty the cache using Firefox for Macintosh:

  • From the Firefox menu, select Preferences.
  • Choose the Privacy icon.
  • Click Clear Now.
  • Check Cache.
  • Click Clear Private Data Now.

Most browsers can be configured to automatically empty your cache.
Note: Safari™ does not offer this feature.

To have the cache automatically emptied using Mozilla Firefox for Macintosh:

  • From the Firefox menu, select Preferences.
  • Choose the Privacy icon.
  • Check Always clear my private data when I close Firefox
  • Close to save.
